Do something that makes a difference this Christmas

The Reece's Rainbow biggest fundraiser of the year, "The Christmas Angel Tree" program, is now in full gear. This year I have committed to raise money for a sweet little girl who desperately needs a mommy and daddy. Please see this precious gift from God below, her name just happens to be Anastasia. Anastasia fell in my lap because, to be quite honest, I was just home from Russia and only a few children remained to be chosen. Anastasia was one of the last...this broke my heart. I have known this sweet little face for a long time now; she has been listed on RR for a VERY LONG time....I remember giving to her fund last year and this year again she still waits...

WAITING TO BE PICKED

WAITING TO BE CHOSEN

PLEASE READ ABOUT HER BELOW AND THEN......

DECIDE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS CHRISTMAS

Girl, Born January 2006

Miss Anastasia is a darling little girl! She is almost 6 already and desperately needs a family. She is facing transfer to the mental institution very soon. She does have a heart condition, we are waiting to get more details on it. She also has some strabismus. She is described as very happy and gentle. She is not walking on her own yet.

This Christmas I am asking my readers to make a difference. You can make a difference in this little girl's life by donating to her grant fund, by advocating for her on your own blog, by praying for her, or you might even be her family.

Anastasia has been left by her birth family and has spent her entire life in an orphanage all because she has Down syndrome (her strabismus should be able to be corrected by surgery). She is not unable to walk because she has Down syndrome, but she is unable to walk because she has no reason to walk. She has not felt the love of a family, and therefore, her development has been slow. Anastasia needs a family....and to be honest, she needs more money in her grant fund in order for a family to be able to adopt her. So, I urge you to help make a difference this Christmas. In January, Anastasia will turn 6 and most likely will be transferred to an institution shortly thereafter. In the institution, she will languish and regress even more and will most likely not make it long in those conditions. Will you help me make a difference in her life?????

I have a Christmas Tree Angel button on the sidebar of my blog. Donations may be made by clicking on the button, the button will take you to the Angel Tree page where you can donate directly to her fund.

So will you buy one less present,

eat one less meal out,

go to one less Christmas Party,

buy one less Christmas outfit,

and join me in celebrating one less orphan.

Do something that makes a difference this Christmas.
